A Little Northwest Hike

OK, it's been a while since I've brough anything to the table... So, I have been taking little hikes in "my" backyard... The Wenatchee National Forest.

My camera has a macro, not very good. So here is my attempt at some close ups of natures best.

Comments and critics are welcome... You know it's not that easy to take pictures of little flowers... But, I am trying to learn. Most of these shots were taken between 2 - 5 pm. Not the best time to take pics but, oh well.

And last but not least, this little guy I almost stepped on. When you're in rattle snake country, you jump first and then look to see what kind of snake it is. I think this could have counted for the "dangerous" challenge because I could have had a heart attack... That's dangerous. :rofl

Thanks Ian... I hope to get a bit closer to the Enchantments, (bw pic), someday. Those should be some great pics. The problem or good thing, depending on how you look at it, is you need a permit to hike in and there are only so many per year.

    peace.

Good thing for areas that are heavily used. But a royal pain if you'd like to go
but only half your party get permits :D

Thanks Prez... I have a simple flower book... You would be surprised by the pictures in the book. Some pictures give you no idea of what you are looking at. Blur your eyes, turn your head and guess rolleyes1.gif

    BTW great shots from Alaska.

    peace.
