Question on copies in other galleries

If I make a copy of a picture in a gallery and move the copy to another gallery, will all additions/changes made to caption, keywords, and geo tag of one picture automatically be made to all copies in other galleries? This seems to be the case.

If so, is there anyway to override this so that different captions, keywords, and geo tag can be associated with different copies? Or do I have to upload the same photo as a new picture to do this?

When you make the copy, the copy takes the caption, keywords etc from the original at that point in time. From then on, you can edit the two independently.

Thanks. Glad to hear that. I found that I was getting duplicate photos listed on Around the World map. So, if I delete geo info on all but one, then only one will show up, right. Response appreciated.

Correct. (And the same for keyword results.)

You may find that the geo data may be slow to update - smugmug were having database issues last night (no idea whether they're cured yet), and the queue for updating keywords on an image was extemely backlogged (several hours). This will probably affect the geo data as well.
