Nice set--- #2 is focused on the flowers though and not the butterfly, I like three the best :)

I love butterflies...if only we had some around here currently... haven't seen any out yet.

    Ben -

You are right, it is a gorgeous butterfly. I like all three shots, but agree with Shima that number three is really eye catching.
I have never tried to photograph a butterfly, seems like it would be very difficult to do right. Congratulations.

I believe it is a swallowtail, indeed. I have not seen any here in Indiana yet this year. I shot several of them last summer. Butterflies are great subjects and reasonably cooperative too., Here is a Monarch from last summer.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hi Gayle
    thanks for commenting

Yeah, hard when you try to do this at 2pm they don't sit still then. I just kneel down in a likely spot and hope they flutter around me, sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Best to do this in morning when these animals are still trying to warm up then they sit still on a flower or such quite awhile, thats my next plan clap.gif
