We were invited to our friend's house over the weekend. Of course I took my 828 and my newly acquired "one-light-stand" (Sunpack 555 + brollybox + pocketwizard trigger)
I like the way these two shots came out:

Let me know what you guys think...

    Nikolai,
I like the way they came out also thumb.gif

    High points for me:

The expression and warmth in the eyes of the mother (as well as the lighting), and the lighting on the daughter is just wonderful.

    Great job...

    Take care,

    Mongrel
If every keystroke was a shutter press I'd be a pro by now...

I think you nailed the first photo. Wonderful lighting, really brings out the character in her face.

I'm not so fond of the second pose.

As to the girl - this is her natural pose. I didn't want to force her to look into the camera eye.. If you knew her I think you'd say "it's very her"..
    I hope #1 will still like #2:-)

    Thank you for your comments!

I can understand that. There is not "right opinion" when it comes to art. Perhaps if #2 was looking at flowers or a book in her hand. I also don't like the way she fits in the frame.

    But I'm being picky...like a photographer...#1 will see it like a mother :)
