Canon 5D II and memory cards

OK, I am maybe within minutes of pulling the trigger on a 5D II. One question I have is what is the minimum speed card that will work with the hi def video, and the burst speed of this camera?

Yes I know a slow card will work for still images, but it will impact the number of shots one can take in burst mode.

Is it necessary to use the newer USMD cards? These cards really bump the cost up.

Would you recommend 8GB cards or 16GB?

Thanks!!

Sam

    Sam,

I have never shot video with mine.

I do use a Transcend 16 Gb 133x card for most of my work. It holds 548 RAW images. I have another on order.

I am still looking for a second battery though.

edit: It does shoot video also - I just tried it, so the card does seem to work just fine, Sam.
