I am looking into buying a new lens and as with most, money is a factor. I am looking at the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 LD 1:2 macro zoom lens.
My question is has anyone had any experience with this lens or similar lenses? I am looking for something in the price range of this lens ($150 US).
I have a D70 and the only lens I have right now is the kit lens and am looking to get something that I can take macros with and still get some reach. Is the Tamron or the Sigma a good choice? I mainly take landscape photos but would like to start taking some more portraits and animal shots, will this work?
Thanks in advance.
