Every time I come in here I just get blown away by the
images you all post...you inspire me so much. These hardly stack up, but I guess I just need some affirmation that perhaps I am headed in the right direction. Please any comments would be welcome and very much appreciated. TYVM ...tim649a59a6.jpg

    You've done quite well holding the details in the black.

    My best advice would be to learn how the light works in your
    neck of the woods.

    Agreed, well done on the detail. I like the last one best, it eliminates a lot of that background.

    A good start! thumb.gif I would suggest (especially for portrait shots) that you open up your aperture so that the background blurs out. Or you can reposition yourself to get a more pleasing background.
