5D Fusion Samples from Cinematorgraphers
Hi Everyone,
We have been using the 5D Mark II for months now and have a few samples to post. We introduced the first Fusion Video/Photo collection with some 3D Effects. We are working on others currently and have fine tuned our expertise to using multiple 5D mark II at weddings with IndiRails, Jibs, and steadi-cam's. Its the only way to really get all the angles.
One note: Nothing we post is staged, its all from actual weddings since we feel you can get a lot more angles when you stage a production and is not a true representation of an actual in the field production.
We have shot over 20 actual weddings with the 5D's, clients are amazed, but at the same time still want the full lenght video in most cases. Most photographers that we work and know give up early when shooting Wedding Video with the 5D Mark II since they need to concentrate on the photos and the 5D Mark II will not fire the flash when in the movie mode. It takes time to switch back and forth and say they are starting to miss key photography moments. The 5D also shoots .mov files when in the Video Mode. What most seem to be more comfortable with is shooting snipets without the responsibility of shooting key wedding video scenes, so we usually work with two photogrpahers and two cinematographers when the wedding really counts.
Many of the cinematographers are becoming great photographers just using these cameras in the field and the shots on these 5D Mark II are stunning, its hard not to get a good photo. As cinematographers, we don't see ourselves entering the still photo business, just offering our film style shoot with 5D's to others yet its fun and we do seem to get more respect when we are running around with Canon's with big lenses!
We have designed a small but very useful bracket for steading the 5D Mark II while shooting and its different and smaller then anything we have seen on the market, if you are interested give me a holler.
If you need help with your 5D's or with experienced film crews, we can help anywhere in the world. I am off to Bejing tomorrow to produce a mult camera 5D Mark II Fusion wedding. Hope to post some samples soon if the client allows.
