Clouds...

I have tried several times to get a good picture of clouds and was always less than happy with the results. As I was leaving work yesterday, I noticed a large bank of clouds. I decided to give them a try in HDR. I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

The only thing I would suggest is a little different crop and a change
of color mode to bring out those awesome clouds.
PS Let me know if it is ok to tweak you photo and repost so I can give
you a better idea.

This photo needs very little tweaking as nature is doing most of the
work here (those awesome clouds). In my opinion a couple simple
tweaks to this photo will add more drama and bring out the clouds
a bit better.
The only nit in my opinion was the color mode choice and the buildings
in the FG. As far as the color mode I think black and white would be a
better choice here. Black and white mode excels at showing textures
and adding drama to a photo.
These storm clouds have lots of texture in them and stages the mood
for the photo. Black and white will enhance both of these elements. The
buildings in the FG are a bit of a (distraction) as they take away the focus
from the the main star the clouds.
So here are the tweaks,
1-cropped out the buildings in the FG
2-switched to black and white mode
3-opened up the shadows in the hills
4-healed out the pole in the FG
Hope this helps.
Take care,
Dwayne Oakes
