Young Owls
Hello everyone, this month I have been lucky to observe these owlets after they fledged. They sleep alot, but once in a while you get lucky, takes patience though, they are so obscure. Some were in very difficult dark and light combos. Most the time they are obscure. It's really been a special thing for me.
They are bigger than you think with the wingspan

Dan, very nice of you to say that! You made my day.
If I'm not shooting, I'm up at my parents home for a week at a time helping take care of them. When I get back I run away and shoot....
We are lucky in so. cal. that the wildlife are fairly used to humans.
This has been very special to me indeed. I had never seen an owl until this year.
I use the canon MKIII , my trusty 300f4IS and a 1.4x teleconverter.
This is an amazing series. I also checked your blog. I loved that stunning series on the Osprey, the White-tailed kit and the bob cats.
