Hello everyone, this month I have been lucky to observe these owlets after they fledged. They sleep alot, but once in a while you get lucky, takes patience though, they are so obscure. Some were in very difficult dark and light combos. Most the time they are obscure. It's really been a special thing for me.

They are bigger than you think with the wingspan

Thank you Dan, Ann, Luis and Ric.
It has been a great experience. I went today and they were hiding deeper in the tree. Takes alot of trips to luck out a few times! ;~) Havn't seen them on the same limb in a week. it's like threading a needle! lol

    Thanx again everyone.
Dan, very nice of you to say that! You made my day.
If I'm not shooting, I'm up at my parents home for a week at a time helping take care of them. When I get back I run away and shoot....wings.gif
We are lucky in so. cal. that the wildlife are fairly used to humans.bowdown.gif
This has been very special to me indeed. I had never seen an owl until this year.

I use the canon MKIII , my trusty 300f4IS and a 1.4x teleconverter.

Young Owl and other posts on your blog
This is an amazing series. I also checked your blog. I loved that stunning series on the Osprey, the White-tailed kit and the bob cats.
