I took my Tokina 11-16 to the baseball game last week, and did a little experimenting with the PhotoMerge tool of CS4. I was very pleased with its stitching capabilities compared to CS3 and the free standalone program "Hugin" which I used to use. CS4 did perfect job of aligning even the distorted edges, whereas Hugin was giving me disconnected light poles, etc. The first two are composites of about 8 images. All of these were also edited with Topaz Adjust to make the details pop, it was very dull light.

The view from center field. There's actually a fence out here, I had to stick the camera up in the air and shoot blindly.

And the 180-degree view from my front-row seat in right field. I thought the girl on the railing was a cool detail.

Finally, not a panorama, but using the full 11mm of the Tokina. This was is 2 differently focused shots hand-masked in PS. I'm not thrilled with the way the sky turned out on this, I plan to rework it in Topaz.
