Hi, I'm fairly new here (so far just posting in the SmugMug support area). I normally don't do many people photos, but I took one that I was pretty happy with during a recent visit to the Georgia Aquarium:

I would crop it a bit tighter, but that's just me...

Very pretty. I agree with the tighter crop idea. Perhaps you might also want to enter it in the current photo contest if you haven't entered something else already.
    Well done.

Thanks for the tips. Is this cropping more appealing?

There are certainly tanks with huge creatures as well, however they tend to move to quickly to replicate a picture like this (given the light levels and my little camera's noisy ISO 400). I'll have to play with trying to capture a similar picture on the big tank sometime. Either on the huge viewing wall:

    Or one of the portholes:

    Hey!!
... you know what!? I just realized the program from Discovery Channel when they moved a couple of Whale Sharks was from Georgia Aquarium!

Lucky you to have access to (what I think must be..) one of the great wonders of the world!
