elusive baby Gambel Quail

I was watching through a window and there were at least a dozen of these little guys following along behind thier parents when my rather large dog (wolfhound mix) ambled by and boom they scattered in a second flat!! I waited & waited till finally this brave soul ventured out and went to join the others in another cactus.
I know its just a snapshot but man catching him even for that wasn't easy!!

Thanks for your comments! They are unbelievalby skittish little things-especially around here with 3 big dogs outside. Dan can't wait to see what you get, good luck!! I think they come to visit my drip so I will keep watch for them now that I know they are hatching.
