In between innings, I pointed my camera away from the field to get family and friend's of my daughter's teammates. It was twilight with a light haze...not the overcast I was hoping for.

Any thoughts and comments appreciated.

Great shots...granted, I'm on my work monitor, so color accuracy is a crapshoot, but the composition and for what i can tell, the color are great. Hope your pics on the diamond are as good as these off it!

Great shots! The first one is great, I'm sure her mom or dad is loving that shot!

What combo were you shooting with? I can't imagine I'd go back to shooting a D80 if I had a D300 in my arsenal!

PS - On my home monitor, I'm still not seeing any color tinge, IMHO. Vibrant color, but nothing overly saturated!

These were all done with the D300/Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 combo. I think the biggest thing is be able to shoot at f/2.8 for these shots. I just got the 80-200 so I have not even tried it on the D80 yet. The D300 has neat features - the auto ISO is really cool.
