[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Called on some of my accounts in Central and Eastern WA this week, so I took a little detour and did a quick check on the Palouse. The Wheat is just starting to pop and should be pretty good toward the end of May. Here are the first few images I processed.

Any suggestion, CC, Feedback on how to improve on these images greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking

Ray Still

The curves work well. Personally I like the B&W best. Unless the colors line up to make a really interesting pattern, the color versions just don't make as big of an impact as the B&W.

Glacial Lake Missoula Floods, ca. 12,000 years ago
The giant ripples were caused by a series of cataclysmic floods lots of years ago and these wonderful photos are the best I've seen of the Scablands, which is what the ripples are called. Terrific stuff! We were over there in early April - dreary. You caught good light and what, a hang glider?

Beautiful images! Numbers three and four are my favorites.
I've been thinking about heading over to the Palouse for a weekend sometime in the near future. So you think the end of May is the best time?

    What a pretty place!

I like #3 and #4 especially, the color of these two are very beautifull, and composition of #3.

And in my point of view, photoes about this landscape should be shot as possible as wide, it will looks more grand.

End of May you say? I might have to book my calendar...

These are great. I've never been to the Palouse but I've always admired the rolling hills/mounds and the soft color.
