My Brother just bought a Mini Cooper similar to this one. I saw this one this morning in the Starbucks parking lot and took some pics of it. The Boxer in the rear was very good and stayed still for me. I used 5 exposures for this one.

I'm puzzled why you went through all the trouble of five exposures for this photo. The background isn't pleasant, not really a good location to take a good car pic. And if background isn't pleasant then certainly don't have it all in focus either. Too much distraction in the image.

Thanks for your input Bill. You are correct on all accounts. The car just happened to be there when I was, I liked it, and took some pictures of it. I realize the setting is not ideal and if I had thought about it, I should have tired a larger f stop and tried to blur the background a bit. I am just starting to learn HDR and was reading yesterday about taking 5 exposures, so I tried it. This was probably not worth the effort of 5, but I still liked the picture.

    Thanks again, Ron

What background ne_nau.gif I see nothing but a cool car! The Boxer in the back is to funny. I must say I'm a little biased...as a fellow Cooper S owner....thumb.gif

Hi Ron, not everyone does HDR the same way, some folks use one shot and edit it multiple times, others use several shots, I saw one guy on Flickr who uses 9 shots to do his HDRs.

The background has taken well to HDR and the Red Mini looks more natural looking in the forground, I think you did a really nice job of this clap.gifclap.gif

I also love the dog in the back off the car rolleyes1.gif .... Skippy :D

Thanks Skippy. I rarely get too hung up on the method for taking and processing the picture if the end result is pleasing.
I am glad that you liked it.
