Hmmmm. Okay it appears that if a person goes to www.smugmug.com and clicks the price link at the bottom of the page, they can see our cost for photos etc. This doesn't seem like a good thing for the person who is trying to sell his/her prints. Just my 0.02 and probably worth about half that. I guess my question is why does SmugMug need to advertise it's cost basis, I don't think SmugMug is selling it's own photos. Probably just my confusion but ... Thanks for any thoughts on this matter, Paul

    Hello Paul,

Your customers know what a print costs. They've all bought their own photos before...

They're buying what you put on that paper, professionally.

Still, one of the upcoming features of SmugMug Pro is that when your customers are on your site, or in the shopping cart from your site, etc, they'll not click through to any pages that have cost prices.

Right now, they see this catalog from YOUR site:
    http://www.smugmug.com/prints/catalog/
    or
    http://www.smugmug.com/prints/catalog/B

Okay Andy, I was mostly thinking about the "in-your-face" aspect of showing the cost basis. I understand your logic though and thanks for the quick response as usual. Damned if I can figure out how you manage to do ANYTHING except answer forum posts. Later, Paul
