I had a couple from my church get married in their home a couple weeks ago. They gave me the privilege of photographing their wedding. Here are some of the better shots.

C&C welcome...

Nice...and I really like your ring shot...and of course, the last one, and 6 and 9. I know that they will be happy with your work.

    Thanks for sharing.

    These look great Dawson!!!

    One observation though...

In 6,7,8,9 and 12 her dress appears to be white making #2, 4, and 5 appear MUCH too warm/yellow.

    That ring shot is superb!thumb.gif

Thanks a lot, Jeff. That means a lot coming from you - I LOVE your work! thumb.gif

I have the tendency to warm things up a bit. Thanks for reminding me to look at the WHITE colors in the picture when I am adjusting temperature. It's easy to forget those simple things at times :D

number 6 is really nice even thought there is a little bit distortion. and if you get rid of the glare of the right mirror, i think that would be nicer.

Your stuff is getting a LOT better rapidly, the learning curve is still steep for you. I'd be very careful with the feathering on the vignettes, some look a little harsh. You ARE editing on a color calibrated monitor now, right? Some look a little warm but well within the arena of "personal taste". 9 for me is your best work in the series, 5 is an illustration of why you (not you personally but anyone) need to be careful of some people's noses. A straight on window light would be more flattering to her face, the 3/4 profile from below eye level doesn't work as well. Good work.

Thanks for the comment! What do you mean the feathering on the vignette is harsh? Can you explain that?

Yea, i have the tendency to like some of the pictures a little warm. Thanks again! thumb.gif

#5 particularly you can see kind of a line where the vignette starts, it just looks like the transition could be more subtle.

    I like 2 3 and 8.
I really like the use of depth of field in 3 and the shades in 8 make that a cool shot.
Watch your foregrounds, don't be shy about cropping unwanted elements out of the shots.

95% of these shots will never see prints so don't limit yourself to 8x10 or 8x12 crops. Crop however you want.
