The PST (Parachute School of Toronto) had their first ever helicopter day today. Since my sister has been a regular there for a little while I tagged along to see the hub bub.

As requested by a few of the skydivers I am posting pictures SOOC for them, ICK. and they are uploading now...

But I was fascinated by the equipment that the current field photographer was using.

Here is a 5D mark II with an EF 24 f/1.4L and a 580EXII mounted to his helmet. The camera is triggered by a tongue switch.

And for taking pictures on the ground he has a 1d M3 with 300 f/2.8 and a 2x TC mounted to it.

I was envious :)

For the equipment part, so am I. For the jumping out of airplanes part, not so much...

i am not overly interested in jumping from planes either. Today was a special day though, they had a helicopter for the experienced jumpers.

I was envious of the equipment. My sister (in second shot) was envious of the jumpers.
