Hello Folks,
My wife and I visited the UK to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. I saw Andy's cool shots of his recent trip and thought of posting another perspective. So here goes :-) [I joined dgrin a while ago, but haven't posted much - too many forums ;-) ]

All from http://www.pbase.com/arjunrc/united_kingdom

I call the guy at the end the "butt pincher" (Change of guards, Buckingham)

The Last Sun Rays hit the Bath countryside

Caught the royal crescent (bath) just before the clouds tore apart with a thunderstorm

The last shot before we left london (for amsterdam) was the Big Ben at sunset

Nice setthumb.gif It's always nice to see stuff from other places. I like the third one, royal crecentclap.gif Is that a pano or a WIDE??

You need to post more, those last two are exceptional and make me homesick.

On the other hand, Andy's shots make me hungry. Hard to find a decent breakfast or curry around here :cry

Indeed, you should post more often! You got some nice moody shots and the evening shot is great. clap.gif

Thanks Eric - its always a lot of fun to visit different places. Thats the good (visit new places) and bad (I live out of airports) part of my job :-)

This is a Pano with a wide angle lens (17-40)

Thanks for looking and commenting, David
Thanks for looking and commenting, David !
Regarding the curries, I guess it depends largely on where in the US (if you are in the US) you live.
But you are right, nothing like the curries in the UK unless, ofcourse, you happen to be in India.

Thanks Dee - every time I post, I realize that I still need to get used to the forum's interface - too many animations/things moving around etc - I guess its a matter of time :-)

Wow, some lovely shots, rjuncrc. thumb.gif I especially enjoy the Bath countryside and the Crescenet. Is the horizon slightly tilted in the London shot? Beautiful work, you made the most out of your opportunity!

    Sid, thanks !
The horizon may well be a little tilted - I will check - I am known to keep horizons titled even for the sole purpose of bugging the straight horizon and 1/3rd perspective folks :D

Nice set - I like them all but especially the last 2. You could improve the last one with a slight counter-clockwise rotation.

Thanks Phil - its not just rotation - there are different 'horizon points' the water follows a different curve from the tower tops - the 17-40 perspective also needs to be balanced. I think I should correct the perspective a little more and then balance the rotation.
