Hello all,

I need to find a place where I can order photo banners. I am interested in 2 sizes (small = 14"x19" and large = 22"x31").

Does anyone know of a place to custom order without it being really expensive?

Thanks,
Tiffany

Tiffany, welcome to the Digital Grin. clap.gif

    What is your application?

How durable and colorfast do you need the banners to be?

Thanks for the welcome! Glad to be here!

I am using photoshop to design. Would prefer something different than a long banner with the eyelet corners. Want something more decorative such as a rod top that can be hung more like a flag.

It's for a cattle show so the winners will be given the banners. I hope that they will last for a while, but they will most likely be immediately hung so not durable for outside weather or anything like that. I would assume that they would be hung in the house and not outside (unless people keep them in an arena or barn).

    Hope this helps! THANKS!

My experience is with vinyl banners made by a display company and they were designed to be fairly durable and fairly expensive.

A quick scan of the Internet shows more satisfaction with Staples than either Kinkos or Office Max. What you're probably looking for is a vendor with a printer designed for photographic images instead of spot color work. Also ask if they provide 4 picoliter technology or better for good looking up-close images.

If you want the best quality you might have to go with a smaller lab or private firm, but the price may go up.

Your best bet might be a corporate "sponsor" who might have the printer and be willing to trade some or all costs for publicity (for instance.)

I do suggest test prints before going full-size in dealing with anyone new just to be sure you're getting the quality you want.

    Tiffany,

If you are willing to do some of the work you might even consider a poster print at 20" x 30". This could be mounted to some sort of backing to yield the size that you want. Similarly 2 - 15" x 20" images could be generated on one 20" x 30" print and you could hand cut the 2 images apart and treat as above for the smaller size.

A number of hanging methods could be used including a rod design, depending on the backing used.

Bigposters.com comes up fairly often here for printing and Elcocolor.com has an Internet special for 2 or more 20" x 30" prints.

    Thanks very much!

I will do some searching, but that is a good idea to make my own using the larger sizes. :)
