Is each photo's "address" permanent?

I'm working on linking a lot of my photos to an external gallery and I have one quick question. From reading the forums, it looks like the SmugMug link for each photo will follow the photo even if I move it to a new gallery. Is that correct? (I put new photos into a discount gallery when they first appear and then migrate them to a permanent gallery after a period of time -- so if I grab the link from the top of the browser and use that for a link, that photo's link will still be the same even after I move it to the permanent gallery, right?)

There, I've said the same thing three times in three different ways and I *still* don't know if I asked the question clearly.

One thing that is clear is that these forums are an immense help. Thanks in advance.

A direct link to a photo (as long as it includes the full id and key) will stay the same no matter what gallery it is moved to.
