Hello all,
Is anyone familier with this new lens? Is it a good quality lens through out zoom range?
Thanks,
Karuzo
Hi Karuzo.
I have this lens. I would rate it about a 6 or 7 for picture quality,
but I really like it for a walk around lens. If you want, I have a gallery here: http://www.pbase.com/davev/18200

Thanks. Nice pictures. I probably will get a 17-35 first as this will be handy with flash photography, and then the 18-200.
Thanks,

Don't forget that Sigma has an 18-200 lens also. Some of the pics that I've seen
appear to be sharper than my Tamron. If you have the time before you buy,
be sure to read reviews on both of these lenses.

That Sigma lens looks interesting, but I can't find any reviews. Anyone seen one ?

I guess I haven't read any "pro" reviews. But on Dpreview in the canon
lens forum, there are more than a few threads talking about the Sigma and
Tamron 18-200 lenses.

If you don't need the extra reach, of the extra wide angle, the canon
28-135is IMO will give you a better final picture. I have galleries here:

You'll have to look for what lens did what in these galleries.
Hope this helps.
