After seeing so many great Owl Images I had to get a few of my own. These birds will almost never give a really Clean shot but I'm happy with what I got!!
How did you go about locating these Gary, and how close do they allow you to get?
Dan
First Thank You Karin and Lori I appreciate your Nice Comments and Hope to see you again.
Now Dan, To Locate them is A real Chalange as they are Nocternal Hunters and Find the Highest limb and Deepest Shade they can During Daytime, Their Camo is The best I've seen. If you find them they are rather Subdued and if you move very slowly your can get to About 25 Yards before they Move away!!

Absolutely Fantsatic captures!!! It so hard to get them to look that good. I see our Great Horned and Barred owls, but never quite so open as that, (usually bind another big limb. )
Beautiful!!
Spectacular! I am so envious! Now if only the owl would have taken the starling for lunch so you could have some nice feeding images too. (I don't like starlings.)

Keep that GHO by you, please. One ruined my GBH nest last year and didn't even have the courtesy to give me a decent shot!!!:D
Hey Thanks Ric, I'd Trade 10 GBH's for one GHO!!!

The only owls I've ever seen in the wild are burrowing owls. That's despite occasionally hearing them outside the house at night.
