Boring Aphid - giving birth?

Here is a prodigous mother aphid with her menagerie behind her, and she looks like she's about to squirt another of the little bleeders out to help decimate my roses... (unless she's having a pooh...)

There where plenty of bright green aphids as well, even on the same leaf....
