California Poppy

Taken in Antelope Valley. First time I've been there, and from the news I gathered its a bad season this year.
There was no orange covered hill, but there were patches of poppy here and there that I could work on.
Oh well there always next year.

Looks like you got down pretty low there in those last couple of shots.

Good work, making lemonade from lemons. Yes, I think it was 2005 or something where it was a good year, since then the poppies have not been very impressive.

We didn't go this year b/c we heard that the bloom was over really early without even a full bloom among the poppies.
