Okay...here it goes. I have been kinda nervous about posting in here (not that you guys don't rock), but I was a little nervous about any negative feedback. But then I came to my senses. First, the most important thing is that my clients were in love with their pics. Second, I have a passion, and to aid improving my skills, I NEED to take advantage of the excellent experience here on DGRIN and seek out C&C. So, here are a few. Thank you in advance :D

Please be gentle though :D

Sounds like you enjoy taking pictures.
Looks like a pretty good start. Skin just a bit warm and the silhouette looks like the water is in focus instead of the people.
But overall these look pretty good for your first effort.

Thank you for the comments. With the silhouette shot, I played with some filters and it exaggerated the water. Any tips on how to help with the warm skin, in camera. I had the wb set to cloudy.

    Hi there!

Thanks for being brave and posting stuff. I need to do that more often too. :)

#1 I like her smirk and that you are showing off the ring.
#2 I like how close-up you are here. With this close up like this I would probably have them not look at the camera and make it more of an intimate shot. If you are going to be these close up with front facing folks, I would do some photoshop beneath their eyes and adjust the whiteness of their teeth just a tad.
#3 I like your idea here. I feel like I want to see more of their body though. Yeah, and they do not look in focus.
#5 I like her look and the side lighting on them. :)
#6 I really like the composition of the last shot on the pier. They look natural and comfortable.

    Good job!

    General comments:
One thing I would try to avoid is having them wear very similar outfits. Right now they both have white shirts and kahki pants. Similar color schemes totally works though. I think the more you can have them wear something more interesting maybe with more color or patterns/textures the more the people will pop, imo, and make the pictures look even more special. I try to tell people to push themselves to their fashion limits - skirts, heels, jackets, accessories... - and still balance it with comfort.

Seems like you can do with a little color processing. Dgrin has some great tutorials for that. Can help both with them looking too warm and making the the whole picture pop more.

    Hope this helps!

That was the best feedback I have ever had. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I agree with all you said. Right now (all day, today) I have been working with the LAB color and curves that I learned from the tutorials on here. Again thank you so much. :D You have been very helpful Quitarita

The cloudy white balance will warm up the colors. Some people like that look.
Which works great on a cloudy day as colors can be kind of blue.... unless you are using flash which warms the colors back up.
