Hi Folks:

A few more shots of the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm fields in OR:

The day was markedly different, darker, cloudier, cooler. There were still plenty of photographers, but not the same vibe as the prior weekend. I'm not so thrilled with these, especially the last one. Now that I see it here, I think it is way overprocessed. Ah well, more fun and got a chance to shoot a subject I don't normally shoot. :)

Best,

N

These are some good looking shots you got. The third one is my favorite. In the first photo, it seems like the bottom is a little cut off. I'd prefer just a bit more foreground (maybe slightly wider angle) and a crop that comes down closer to the top of the trees.
    Anyway, good work!

Thanks for the nice words. I like the first and third ones also. The first one was done by fogging the graduated neutral density filter I had on. I also like the third one, but it is a bit too dark. I'll spend more time with it.

    Thanks again,

I really like the feel for the first one, the day I was there it was bright sunshine and the end of the day.

Gorgeous, much softer light than your previous trip (even with the cheating fog trick lol3.gif), and less people (at least in your shots). Great comps incorporating the rows between the tulips too.

#1 and #3 are my favourites. and there i was thinking that it was early morning fog, like we have here. your fogging effect in #1 is very similar to the tiber valley mist that the sun shines through, often until midday before it finally clears. i was completely fooled by a familiar sight for the wrong reasons. except we don't have tulips! lovely series. sarah
