When I was a boy I use to love to play Army.
You know crawl around and sneak up on the bad guys,
just to say, Gotcha Ya !

When I was a young man the real Army came by and
said, You can continue to love what you do and do it for
us, Yeah Right! Well it wasn't as much fun, but saved my
bacon a few.

Now that I'm Ahhh.. O>... Man I've relearned that fun
of crawlin around and sayin Gotcha Ya With a Camera
I also think my works gotten a tad more impact........ Ah
maybe I'm just havin fun :D

Nice set of images. Really like the duck.

Amen to the knee pads. I discovered them a couple of years ago when I was taking a lot of flower photos. Didn't need them when the knees were younger ...eek7.gif

Now I'm birding I've got a cheap, simple gear bag. Since I use a Bushhawk I don't tote a tripod. So I got a 5gal bucket, painted it camo, added a padded seat to the top and I use it to carry my camo sweatshirt, hat, kneepads, and extra battery etc. When I get where I'm going I put on the camo and sit on the bucket.

People look at me kind of strangely when I'm walking around with my camera on a sling and toting a 5gal bucket. But who cares...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

These are all wonderful shots. I think I have to say #3 and #5 are my favorites. Love the reflection in the water in number # 3 and I am just a big big fan of hawks, falcons and eagle and you have a beautiful shot here.

That shot of the duck is as sharp as they come

I was just thinking about getting a thin set of knee pads and throwing them in the backpack last week. Looks like you beat me to it

    Very nice work, Ben.
I love the angle of the ruddy duck and the exposure on the RWBB is great.
The sora was a great catch. Have you considered straightening the horizon on that shot? :D

Thanks Luisv and you bring up a good point.

You (or anyone but me) do not have the additional memory to go with the shot.
Meaning you don't know how I had to crouch down and lay at a weird angle to get this shot with reflection included.

To me the angle (which I really never noticed till you brought it up) seems correct, again because I was there.

Although I could go back and straighten shot, it would not be how it felt for me. In the future however I will keep aware of your original point.

    Thanks again
