Asking Price:
  • $1,100.00 (Canadian Funds) not including shipping or Pay Pal fees.
  • This is currently about $935.00 in US Funds [UPDATED: 2009-04-29].
Age of Items:
  • The camera, lens, case and extra battery were all purchased in March 2006 from Henry’s.
  • The 30D has about 15-20,000 actuations.

1) Canon 30D
  • The camera is in great shape with no scratches or marks.
  • The LCD screen has always had a protective film on it and is in perfect condition.
  • Original box, all manuals (English and French), all accessories and warranty card provided.
  • List of everything provided in the original box (Canon EOS 30D Digital SLR body; Eyecup Eb; BP-511A Lithium-Ion battery pack; CB-5L Battery charger; Neck strap; USB Cable; Video Cable; CD-ROMs (Canon EOS Solution Disk 12, EOS Utility, ZoomBrowser EX, Remote Capture , Digital Photo Professional 2.1))
2) Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens
  • The lens is in perfect condition with no scratches or marks.
  • Hasn’t been used in years as I no longer use the 17-85mm Lens.
  • Original box, manual and warranty card provided.
3) Canon EW-73B Lens Hood
  • Fits the EF-S 17-85mm lens.
  • No scratches or marks on the hood.
  • Hasn’t been used in years as I no longer use the 17-85mm Lens.
  • Original box provided.
4) B+W 67mm UVA 010 Glass Screw In Filter
  • Fits the 17-85 mm Lens.
  • No scratches on the filter.
  • Hasn’t been used in years as I no longer use the 17-85mm Lens.
  • Original case provided.
5) Canon EH-17L Case
  • Holds the 30D with the 17-85 Lens.
  • No marks on the case.
  • Hasn’t been used in years as I no longer use the 17-85mm Lens.
  • Original box provided.
6) Extra Battery (Optex LI316)
  • Used 50/50 with the canon battery.
7) 2 Sandisk 2GB Ultra II Compact Flash Cards
  • Can’t think of anything to say about them, they are memory cards. Until I bought two 16GB cards, the 2GB ones were the only ones I used and I have never had a problem with them.
8) Grey Card (2pack)
  • Still unopened.

Buying everything new with a refurbished 30D would cost $1,700.00 CDN ($1,920 with taxes) and I’m asking $1,100.

Fees/Shipping Disclosure:
  • I’d prefer to sell locally (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) and deal in cash. However, I would consider shipping and accepting payment using Pay Pal.
  • Any Pay Pal and shipping fees would be added to the total cost.
  • Shipping costs would vary depending on location shipped (Canada or US).

Why Selling?:
  • I’m selling because I want to either upgrade to a 50D or a 5D Mark II.
  • If I decide to upgrade to a 5D Mark II, I’ll also sell my EF-S 10-22mm Lens ($800 CDN) and my 430EX Flash ($250 CDN) later.
References:
  • Unfortunately, I’ve never sold on eBay before (just local stuff on Kijiji). That’s why I prefer to sell locally so the buyer can check out the condition of the product first hand.

    The conversion I had for the U.S. funds were wrong. I just verified the price would be about $935 U.S., not $ 1,015.
