Hello well my university thought they should have Entrepreneurs Development Society (i am the marketing manager:D). They asked me to submit logo of my business (regardless of how much i make from it). whole idea is to promote concept of entrepreneurship among other students of university. the logo will be published on their website printed on advertisements etc i thought it is great and free opportunity to advertise myself..

I think you should change the name to something more simple.
That's a hard name to remember.

    Hello,

While not an absolute requirement, the logo and the slogan does not convey that it is a photography business. Wouldn't you want to get that across more effectively? Personally, I would want someone to see my logo and/or slogan and instantly know exactly what type of service is being provided. The field is too crowded to leave people guessing with a cryptic message. Perhaps if those two angular marks were replaced with a frontal/circular view down the barrel of a lens, with your url bisecting through the middle?

I would also be more effective and efficient if your logo was something that you could also easily use as a watermark for both consistency and double-duty. I'm not sure that your proposed logo would work so well, given the size, shape, and gradient background

The layout, and composition are nice. The basic issues I see are the card doesn't let me know your a photographer, doesn't have complete contact UFO. Can you include a phone number, and an e-mail address?

Also when designing business cards you really want to avoid borders, and curved lines near the edge of the card. When printed, and cut there is a small variation in the printing, and cutting process. The recommended buffer area is a 1/8" blank area around the art work and text. A cut that is a little off will not be noticed on a solid color but if you have a perfectly square line on the outside of the card your eye will see if the cut isn't absolute perfect.

Hey Awais - just my opinion here.

Not too fond of the "it's a philosophy of the eye".

FYI: "Philosophy of the Eye" is a poem by John Edward Everett. It has a better line that I think is more apropos:

"An image from my heart reflected"

If nothing else then I suggest shortening the phrase to just "philosophy of the eye".

    Awais.....

I like the concept.......it seems most think this is a business card and not a logo for advertising and top be used as a watermark.
    That said........

I changed my domain name from ARTHUR-SCOTT.com to ArtScottFotografie.com, for several reasons....
1- Arthur Scott....my name and that is was the idea to be known by my name for my work......however ArthurScott.com is owned by some Architecture Firm in France.....so I went with the hypenated version and then after a view friends and family asked why I did not have anything telling it was a photo site.....I decided to change, but there is already an ART's PHOTOGRAPHY here in Wichita and so I decided to add the photography and then realized I would be place right next to the other ART and did not want that...so I changed the spelling of photography to Fotografie........

I understand wanting your work top be known as your, but your logo should tell people you are a photographer.......as someone else mentions a frontal shot of your new 24-105 lens with the tag line inside the lens (tag line is your "It's a Philosophy of the Eye".....to make this more personal that line could be changed to"It's a PHILOSOPHY of OUR EYES" or "..........of MY EYES" ......... If you do not want to remove the angle lines and replace with a shot of your camera/w lens or just the lens by it self.....grab a free clip art of a Photographer behind a view camera and place one upper left and lower right.......that could get acroos the photogrpahy point real well..........just replace "It's" with "Photography"............Photography a Philosophy of the EYE" ........... of My Eye ..........of Our Eyes.........

    Good Luck................

That's not a logo. It's some randomly multi-colored letters, and a couple of straight lines. I don't see anything purposeful put together to brand something. Keep going.
