The west end of east bound Gila Monster. Leaving my yard this morning, only about 14 inches long. He will return and I'll try to get something from the front.

Art, they can move pretty fast if pushed, but they don't herd well.
Love his colors. I hope you'll be able to get the front end next time.

I'd have chased that bad boy all over the yard trying to get a head shot.
My kids learned about Gila Monsters in school a couple of years ago. Here's a 6 y/o girl explaining what to do if a gila monster bites you. "Calmly walk home, and fill the sink with water. Put your arm with the gila monster on it in the water, and the gila monster will let go."
