That I would hang on a wall.......... what a heavenly rose... you made it look so ethereal. You even managed to pull out some aqua and yet leave it looking so soft.
That is Beautiful Artwork

JAG is right. Be sure to read all the rules before you enter the challenge. There is nothing so dispiriting as having a strong entry disqualified! Or any entry for that matter.

Thank you for the comment. The actual name of the rose is "Fabulous". As far as emulating anyone "didn't know I was. Just having a little fun with camera raw "carity adjustment" and a quick levels adjustment in PS.

Hi Tim... uummm.. are you entering this into the contest?
In the contest your supposed to emulate another photographer's style.. that's the rule of this competition.... just thought to let you know...
You do very good work and I would keep working on taking it to the next level, your good..
I do have a question.. I meant to ask.. did you use just sunlight here or did you employ other lighting? it is so beautiful I just have to ask..
Kat
I had seen this style done before in the Flowers Community on Smugmug I could not remember where or when but I did find it again. The photographers name was Tony Howell.....

Well I am sure he would be flattered that you liked his work enough to emulate..
Best of luck to you in the competition.
You have a very competitive entry..

Thank you for your help and comment Kat.
I visited the Tyler Rose Garden last Saturday and shoot close to 250 pics. See the best ones at the following link.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for sharing the link... those are beautiful..
My personal favs:
2nd Barbra Streisand
3rd Northern Gold
and the 3rd Moonstone..
you have a real knack for rose shots....
I hope you don't mind but I looked around your smug galleries.
I see your diving head first into it going pro.. love the model shots.. My favorite is the bride by the pond, that one has real impressive composition.
I have a question.. Do you use painter X to achieve your oil painting effects?
I am getting into the illustration art myself and just wondered if you use painter X or CS3 Photoshop to achieve the effects you got.. they turned out nice..
You definitely have talent.. I wish you all the best..
Kat
I don't think that you were looking at Tim's site, Kat. Check it again

I just PMed her. The only galleries I have up that have been taken with a DSLR are the two feathur galleries. 1 is the roses from the Tyler Rose Garden the other is Wild Flowers from east Texas. The only wedding I have shot was my Nephew's wedding last July at the rose garder, mid-day and almost 100 deg. and it is passworded.
she may have went to "whitetr" and not "trwhite".
