Hey guys!
Just purchased an used tamron 90mm 2.8 macro lens and tested it in the butterfly garden in a local zoo. I used my 430EX flash on the camera with a 'stofen' diffuser thing on top. I'm somewhat pleased with the results but would like to know how to make better macro shots. I was thinking about building a diffuser and getting a flash cord.
These are the ones that came out nice, the other ones came out kinda mheh with misfocus/blur or over/underexposed by manhandling the flash
all have had some lightroom RAW treatment, mostly vibrance, and clarity.
would love to get some feedback on these :thumb

Try to get the eye in clean focus with bugs - as the DOF is pretty thin it's easier to us MF rather than AF. Lighting looks good but stofens are very wasteful - spray the flash all over the place.
