I couldn't sleep last night and I remembered that if you can't sleep, you should do something productive. I ended up processing a few more pics that I took on Saturday morning for DSS#24 (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=128642)

*as a testament to how little sleep I got, I swore that I clicked "submit new thread" a few minutes ago, but nothing was there*

Next two are single frames, no cropping.

Thanks for looking, C&C is always welcome.

Your panoramic stitching is good. The exposures are very well done, but in my opinion, Lake Crabtree (especially without clouds) doesn't make for a very appealing subject. Having driven past this lake a number of times, I think it would take a lot of creativity to make this lake look amazing.

I personally prefer taking lake shots on the back side of Beaver Dam Lake in Northern Wake County. You can shoot from the bridge on Old Weaver Trail (http://tinyurl.com/cmhx44) and get some nice shots. If you are curious, these two galleries of mine have some shots from that location:

But all of that said, some nice photos from a technical standpoint -- I just don't like the subject. And that's simply my opinion, so don't take it too personally.

    Regards,
    Karl

Hi Karl, thanks for the comments and tip on the location; I'll have to try that. Don't worry, nothing personal taken (I'm still a little hesitant to call anything in NC a lake, after having grown up near the Great Lakes mwink.gif).
