Hope this is an easy question: re: 5DII, device not seen

Hi everyone,

Took some video with my 5D mark II last night, and want to import it to iMovie. When the camera is connected and turned on, Aperture 2 opens, as it should. Aperture does not handle video, however.

Upon closing Aperture, I open iMovie and visit the three "import" options under File. None of these recognize or can see my camera. Additionally, my camera does not appear as a device on my finder window, nor my desktop. When I visit my system utilities, my computer does recognize the USB as being connected to a Canon camera, but....

Any suggestions?

Allow me to answer my own question.

I was going to say that but it really doesn't solve your original problem. You will find it faster though than hooking this camera to the computer. I never do it personally, always use the card reader.

yeah, no kidding! Way faster (I got a firewire one) and no lost battery power.

    Cheers!
