May have the opportunity to host photos from the Denver Heart Walk this year. Was wanting to know if there is a maximum amount of photos that can be uploaded to a gallery?

I don't believe that there's a limit. I've certainly got over 15,000 photos in one of my galleries (used for backing up photos).

You should bear in mind that very large galleries are difficult to navigate. If there is a logical way to split the photos, then perhaps you should instead use several galleries within a single category or sub-category for the event.

If the photos are meant for human viewing, ideally I would suggest no more than 50-100 photos per gallery. If there are more than that, then people will just get frustrated trying to find what they want in a giant gallery.

For best viewing, you should break the photos up into multiple galleries with meaningful names each with a managable number of photos per gallery. Then, the viewer can find the gallery or galleries that are most likely to contain the photos they are interested in and scan through those galleries. I don't know what your event entails, but here are some ideas for different galleries: registration, starting line, candids, volunteers, walkers at post street, walkers at filmore street, finish line, post walk activities, cleaning up.
