my first girly senior shoot

I started out as a sports photographer, and as such my only experience with seniors has been guys with track shoes, soccer balls etc... This was my first opportunity to shoot anything feminine. It was a very windy day. These photos are straight out of the camera. I used an off camera Alien Bees AB800 to balance the lighting. Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

Your links look correct and I can see the pics if I copy the link into my browser URL box. You probably don't have the SmugMug gallery set to enable external links.

Great serious of shots. Number 2 and #9 are my favorites. #2 in particular due to little more natural look with a little wind in the hair. I like the fill flash on #9 to bring out her face in the dimming light. Only thing I would say would be to try to get subjects to vary expressions. She is very pretty girl with nice smile but all the facial expressions are the same. Also get some shots that are not looking directly into the camera.

    Good Job!

#2 is my favorite. Nice background and soft light. I also like the movement in her hair. Her smile also looks more relaxed in this one than some of the others.

You are so right on the facial expressions. I tried to get her to do something else. At one point she even joked about her face starting to cramp up. I said, "don't worry about it, lets try a different look" and she went back to the same smile. It was like Derek Zoolander going from "Magnum" to "Blue Steele" (that will mean nothing if you didn't see the movie).
I have a couple of her looking away from the camera. They didn't work as well as expected. I will post a couple tonight so that you can be the judge.
    Thanks

    I like #9 the best.

I think it would have been great if you were able to get some more Bokeh out to blur that car/van in the BG.

    Thanks for sharing!

I'd watch that foreshortening... the girls I've worked with have been very sensitive to images that "make their feet look big." Or that make their hips look bigger than the bustline... et cetera.
