What's your typical turn around time to provide the images to the customer to order from?

Depending on how large the shoot is, I will have the images to the client within two weeks. On small shoots such as portraits, I can have the images within 48 hours.

Same, for basic portraits or events (little editing or sorting), it's usually a day or two.

For model shoots, it's a week or so. I can't do all their pictures at once or I'd go nuts looking at them all day long.

I have the proofs up within 2 days. The customer then chooses their favorite 5 (5 retouches included in the session fee) and I go to work retouching these to the best of my abilities. This usually takes 3-5 business because of a busy schedule (like all of us, nothing special mwink.gif). Once the finals are viewable, customers get all impressed and amazed and tend to buy more than when I have them order from proofs.

So total time is 2 days for proofs + [customer delay in choosing favs] + 3-5 days retouch = at least 5 days before they can order. But then they are ordering the final images (instead of ordering from proofs) and get to use their print credit (which also encourages more print purchases).

It works pretty well for me. Good Luck.
