Last week I took some pictures of the 13-15 y/olds ( http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=128188 ). Last saturday I went back for the 9-12 y/olds.

Lens: 28-300L IS f/3.5-5.6 (Next time I'm going with the 70-200L IS f/2.8)
Aperture priority mode (f/3.5 - f/5.6 depending on zoom)

man gotta work on the first pitchers delivery!

Nice shots - I was thinking the same thing about the first pitcher. Someone needs to stop him before he hurts himself. I've never seen anyone try to throw that way.

edit: someone who knows more than I do told me that's how you throw a screwball. Not sure why a 13 year old is trying to do that though.

It is a screwball release bit the pitcher is throwing off the wrong foot

I think it's his first season. He still has to learn a lot.

Although he throws in a curious way, he didn't perform bad. Perhaps the whole screwball thing is working
