How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Wonder why all the interest? Nesting material or two young birds just fartin' around?

First non "hand-of-man" shot is terrific, Harry.thumb.gif

Well done set Harry. Looks like the kids were out playing. When I saw them the parents were very close by.

These guys are becoming "Stars" here on DG!

Great series of shots. Too bad we humans destroy the beauty of nature with our trash and our beautiful wildlife suffers from our stupidity. Excellant!

Thanks Ric, they were just out exploring. They are in the process of learning to find food and to fend for themselves. It won't be long before their parents drive them off. They played with the trash but were smart enough not to eat it. They are still very tolerant of humans. We were able to get very close to these two, something an adult caracara would never tolerate.

Young caracaras haven't developed a fear of human yet so you can get fairly close to them. They did an excellent job of clean up on that coffeee cup.

Thanks Bob. The young caracaras are a big attraction every season. At their current age they always return to the same area as they start to learn their lessons.

It never fails to tick me off when I see the trash thrown out by idiots at the wetlands. There is just no need to do that.

Thanks for the kind words about the pics.

Thanks, I noticed the wrapper and that was one of the reasons I took the shot.

Thaks Glenn. We try to keep some of the good stuff away from tourists. If you got captures of all of our denizens on your first visit there would be no reason to come back.
