Getting into www.smugmug.com is taking a long time as well as via my domain name. Once I'm in, accessing my galleries is basically impossible. Any maintenaine work gong on?

I have not issues whatsoever accessing other web sites.

    Again. SmugMug has officially stated that their status page is here:

    http://smugmug.wordpress.com/

    And yet, no update.

    I shouldn't have to dig around in the forums to get confirmation that the server is down and it's not a problem on my end, or my ISP's, nor should anyone else.

    Again, sorry to harp on this, but Don's publicly complained about Amazon's communications (which they fixed), so I'm complaining about SmugMug.

    Darryl: give me a few minutes to post, wouldya? It's there now, but my first duty is to understand the issue, and then post something.

    It's only been a few minutes since the site issue and then I posted to the blog.

    And yes, I will post an update in a new posting when there's all clear.

    Thanks Andy, although to be fair, I gave you a whopping... 16 minutes! :-}

    (04:36PM: Your reply to Souwalker, 04:52PM: My whining)

    One other benefit of keeping up with the page, you get to point at it and say: "Look how responsive we are! Look how quick we get things back and running!"

    "Look how after a database server crash we think everything's running fine and we double-check to make sure and then we come back and verify that they are..." Ooops. :-O

    Follow-up posts after the fires are out would be appreciated too. Detailed post-mortems even more so, but I'd be happy with a simple, "Yup, we double-checked and our highly redundant database performed as expected."

    During said 16 minutes I'm allowing OPS to fix the problem and not waste so much time on me. I'd rather have shorter read only and a few minutes longer in posting to the blog. But I promise you we're all thinking about the status updates blog and we post.

    Thank you.

    We are having problems again. Sorry! Updates as we get more info.

    We believe the problem is with our latest release, a few hours ago. Still digging into the details.
