She got married in a castle...
Well sort of. This venue is a fake castle built about 5 years ago.
It is kind of cool, some people think it is a bit much.
Great place to photograph weddings though.
This was a couple from Canada, I think they were Menonites.
They were very conservative and they gave each other watches instead of rings.
This was all shot with an sb800 on a flash bracket.
You will see a couple shots with selective coloring. In this case it served a purpose, to highlight the position of the bouquet and garter.
All the bride and groom together shots were taken in 10 minutes, all the time I was given.
For the on the stairs formals I had no time for lighting so we just threw open the front door to the castle.
Here is the link if anyone wants to take a look.

I'm only on page 5 thus far, but my only nit pick that stood out to me right away was on picture #36. It's a reflection of the bride in a mirror. You have quite a few amazing shots of this. But in this one, in the top left corner, there is something really OOF and it caught my eye, upon investigation, it was the top of the brides head, or the front of her hair. But it's just a small tiny little portion, and is extremely distracting for me.
However, quality work good friend, quality work.

Thanks Candid, as many times as I have looked at that picture I did not notice the top of her head was in it. Thanks for pointing that out.

thanks for sharing such an "interesting" location. I did notice the watch on her hand and thought it odd, but you filled us in, a complete picture !!

I also love the cake shot too, Matt! It makes me want to eat it all by myself!! :eat

I wish it had been in a studio.
There were two large windows in the background of the shot.
I had to overpower the ambient with flash to get decent light on the cake then clone out the windows in the background.
If you look closely you will see the areas where the windows were are a little lighter in color.
