Hello all,

I just wanted to ask the pro's a question... when your client brings his/her own props example saxophone or other items how do you use them? In a E-session that is...

No pro here. I would imagine, however, it's your client's call. Who are we to tell the saxophonist they can't use they're saxophone? :D If done correctly, or I should say in good concert w/ the comp of the photograph, I think things such as this can add to the feel of an image. Just my 2 cents.

Sorry I didn't mean to ask in a way where I don't want them to use it :) I just was looking for some ideas how to use it I guess... Seeing its a couple lovey dovey photos session.

Well.. you can have the Saxophonist play it and the fiance (or fiancee) sit down and enjoy it. Or at least look like he/she is enjoying it! :D

Then you can do a tight crop with the player's hands where they are supposed to be on the sax, and have the significant other put his/her hand, or hands, lightly over the player's hands and have them lean over to kiss the player.

And you can do a role reversal to. Have the significant other, who is not the saxist, give it a whirl and have a laughing moment!

Never had that happen in all the engagement shoots I have done.
The motorcycle was the first time anybody wanted a prop. We spent maybe 10 minutes with the motorcycle.

I would take a couple quick ones and put it back in the car, then get on with the shoot. They probably have a couple ideas of their own you could shoot real quick.

Engagement shoots are about the couples chemistry, fun and romance....not I like to play the saxophone.
