Seagulls at an orange stream

I was facing the other way when this flock of seagulls landed, practically at my feet. They started drinking and splashing. I managed to get five shots and figured straight away there was too much action to be able to pick the right moment to shoot. Of the five I like this one best because of the relatively even spread of birds throughout the frame. The stream itself is magic - such a bright orange cut into the sandstone.

I like it thumb.gif The contrasting colors between the birds' plumage and the rocks and stream work well. As to the stream, maybe you found the source of the color in their bills and legs.ne_nau.gif

You've just reminded me - I have a very funny seagull photo to post... I've called it "Itchy Foot".

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Umm.. can someone help me? I'm new to the forums and when I view this post today I cannot see images 2
    and 3 that I posted.

EDIT: must have been a caching issue. As soon as I posted this comment I saw the 2 images again. Sorry.

    Thanks for the encouragements :)

Like that the gull in the bottom center is taking a bite out of his neighbor! eek7.gif
