I'm guessing your implying that your subject was too quick to capture on camera....this might have been best pulled off in a different setting like a sidewalk or the edge of a playground ...
With the veh there however the photo just becomes sad and creepy. Could just be me though, since I'm in insurance and have seen the photos of scenes where people got knocked out of their shoes.

Well, i guess you were looking at it from a different perspective, and i agree that photo can be looked at both ways. You saw at as creepy and dark, but my intention was different, more like your guess at the very beginning.

You didn't offend or spook me...I just think the shot would have been more effective in a different setting...
You might be right, afev, this was just a spontaneous shot, while walking in downtown. The guy was actually sleeping in his car, and i didn't see him when i took that shot. Don't know why he left his shoes outside.
