Hi All,
We did manage to save Bob, but on that thread I did say we should look to get Yehuda. I contacted him, and below I'll add his response. I've been communicating with Yehuda for a long time (since when he was still active as a teacher on the Logo usenet group). From his response you can see that he feels the pain that STF is going thru'.

Please try and encourage him to join.

regards
alan

[font=Arial,Helvetica,Sans Serif][size=-1] Hello Alan,
So nice a surprise you gave me on the morning (my first coffee is still in
my hand).
You are right about my disappearing from STF. I'll honor your invitation and
look at dgrin.com. I'm sure you will see my name there soon.

Take care, Haver,
Yehuda

I would love to see Yehuda here. I hope he likes what he sees and sticks around. Thanks for inviting him Alan.

    Good work Al thumb.gif

I think Yehuda would really like it here. Between his pictures of beauties and Yuri's, this place will certainly be a better looking place iloveyou.gif .....Laughing.gif

    Well done BigAl

I don't *know* Yehuda like you guys do but I am very familiar with his work, and agree he would be a great asset. We will have quite a complement of portrait shooters which is one of my favorite subjects.

I was thinking about contacting Nill Toulme who is a very good sports shooter and posts on FM and Dpreview. His guides on sportshooting and his advice to me personally regarding the purchase of my 1D were invaluable. Not sure if he would be into it, but what the heck it's worth a shot.

Thanks again BigAl for your efforts. While I'm at it, thanks to Andy for dedication and drive to get Digital Grin off the ground. And then there's Shay, and Steve, and .....

well you get the idea :D

    Take care all,

    Mongrel

He hasn't joined yet. But if he does, I will whip somthing up mwink.gif

Sorry to those who joined before the song was made (just a few weeks ago now) So to all the current members who missed out, this ones for you:
    The new Dgrin member song:
Sung to the tune of "The Brady Bunch"

Here's the story of some lovely photos
that were taken by some great photographers.
All of them had great contrast, like the others,
    The latests ones in raw.

Here's the story, of the Dgrin forum,
Who was busy with members of it's own,
They were members, talking all together,
    Yet they were all alone.

Till the one day when the photographers joined this forum
And they knew it was much more than a hunch,
That this group must somehow form a family.
That's the way we all became the Dgrin Bunch.

    The Dgrin Bunch,
    The Dgrin Bunch,

That's the way we became the Dgrin Bunch.

do do do do dooo dooo dooo dooo do
