Chopper Time

Stumbled across these cool wheels and took a few shots with the intention of making them B&W. Any tips on improving my B&W conversion?

    I have to agree, the second shot rocks!
    I think the first shot would have been better with the bike completely isolated, but with the same diagonal framing.

    Thanks everybody...

    I had an opportunity to shoot the bike stand alone, but thought that it would look... I don't know... empty, or static. Now I wish I would have just taken it anyway. Shoot and learn I guess.

    I have a local art show 9-9-09 with various artists and I intend on including this one. Going to try and make it big.

    Daft as it sounds - I would be tempted to add a slight 'blue fringing' to the chrome in the second one just to add a bit of punch. Problem with too much bling on the hardlys is the detail gets lost - just my opinion of course.
