Hide a Sub-Category?

Hello, Is there anyway to make a sub-category, that has galleries and pictures in it unlisted?

I'm using my site for a class project, and have set up special links to the sub-category and everything I need it for, and don't want the sub-category normally displayed on my website to the casual onlooker...

It might be easier to make all the galleries unlisted and put them in a
sharegroup. The sharegroup page would look the same as the sub-cat
page I think.
