    Thats as much as the lens can be had for new at B&H
    whats so special about this one?

    I don't think we are to be price policing, but that lens is backordered just about everywhere including B&H so your statement is technically incorrect at this time.

    not exactly back ordered

    buydig has it available right now for $669!

    I was only inquiring in case there was a filter of polarizer with the lens, or something the seller forgot to mention. Not policing.

    Once is "inquiring", subsequent times are policing. This is not your first time - guidelines state the policy, including using PM's to discuss pricing.
